This is seriously the worst way to wake up. I hopped on Facebook (because I'm a moron and can't go more than 12 seconds without doing so) and I saw that Mat joined a new group. And they're all so innocent seeming at first. And I never remember that this kid is not really the "Nice Guy" type. It's more of a convenient cover for his "Entertainment At Your Expense"/"Pseudo-Violent But Amusing" demeanor.

The Facebook group says:

Yesterday, Mark and I were sitting in the Commons prior to our German class and this guy came in. He stood at the top of the stairs for a while, then wandered away. He repeated this process two or three more times. Finally, he came down the stairs, then wandered back and forth through the dining area for a good 15 minutes. I concluded that he was looking for something. I initially thought that perhaps we were in his usual spot and he was feeling displaced. At one point, he paused in front of Mark and looked like he was going to say something, but then began wandering back and forth again. Eventually Mark caught his eye and he suddenly got the courage to speak. As it turned out, he was doing a project for his Comm class and was polling students on their thoughts on the campus bells. He used slang from the 1920s. I had a hard time not giggling.

Today, I had one class to go to, and I slept through it. Which is a real bummer because we actually had a test in that class today. I've been having a "burn out" day today. I feel like I should have a pack of cigarettes. But since all I have is a pack of gum, I'm improvising.

Annnd I'm back to being sad, apathetic Andrea. I need some heliums and some gerbells and REM. And probably some exercise too.

But all I've got right now is Slayer. As I said before: "Burn Out."
